Socialism means workers owning the means of production. Not government. I have not heard a single democrat who is funded by big business who wants to jail corrupt Wall Street crooks and push for workers to own the means of production. Big business democrats are just marginally different than any mainstream republican. They have the same goals because they have the same donors. Goldman Sachs call the shots in a system where unlimited sums of money can be spent on elections and labor unions are destroyed. If we want change for the working man and woman, we must start finding the guts to take on the billionaire class and strengthen labor unions and get big money out of politics. Cant elect corrupt puppets of Wall Street like Trump, the GOP and corporate democrats and think that will solve anything.
And do you believe bringing the corrupt - to - the core - Clintons back into town, would have accomplished anything?

Nope - it has to be an outsider to get it done, and barring the lack of any other outsiders than Trump - it's Trump's show. If Mark Cuban runs next time and sounds like he has some good ideas, I'll consider voting for him. No more politicians!

I doubt the new house leader will be willing to fight this battle with the budget deficit escalating.

Trump wanted $5B for the wall, the DOD was able to squeak by with a measly $17B increase maybe he can rearrange his priorities. This is where presidents are supposed to show some leadership rather than just criticizing his own party.

It's obvious why the congress in place today won't fund the wall as both parties are in bed with the corporations that hire illegal aliens and the Democrats want to keep the flow of new Democrats coming along with pandering to the ethnocentric Hispanic-American voter.

This wall should have been funded back in 2006 when it was passed by the majority. There were still enough members on both sides of the aisle that wanted this flow curtailed and our border more secured. Now we have a president who wants it funded so those things will happen. Congress deserves criticizing for backing out of it now.

Of course not. Thats why I didnt vote for Clinton and wont vote for corporate democrats.

And if we do not find the guts to say a big no to the billionaire class and continue to vote for them and their puppets, then nothing will change for the working man and woman. That is guaranteed.

Hilarious! It's mostly the lefty liberals that are guilty of that! Want our immigration laws enforced.....you're a racist, xenophobe, etc. according to them. Just look at your own asinine referral to Trump's supporters above....Trumpsters! Hypocrite, much?

He just signed the bill, with no wall funding. He promised just a few days ago he wouldn't do that.

He HAD the power to veto the bill.

He is lying to you. You must enjoy being lied to.

WTH are you talking about? Trump has been fighting tooth and nail to get the wall funded. Have you been living in a cave?

No, but if he can persuade congress to build the wall that they promised back in 2006 by funding it he certainly can take credit for that. Why weren't you anti-wall people all upset when that legislation passed since you don't want it and at that time there wasn't even a plan to make Mexico pay for it but the taxpayer instead? Trump wants to hold congress's feet to the fire now and to fulfill their promise and you all are all upset with Trump instead?

Trump could have kept the promise he made not to sign any bill that didn't have the funding for his wall.

He lied to you guys, just a few days ago, in fact, but you just keep skipping over that fact as if you don't see it.

What Trump says and what he does are two different things. He raises a ruckus for days to keep us occupied.

Meanwhile, his hired former Bush White House staff does something very different. Some people can't see it.

They think he's draining the swamp.

Neither party believes that this will put much of a dent in illegal immigration, I don't think Trump actually believes this is a solution either. It was a simple election message to deliver to his base, if he was serious he would have stepped up. This is a band aide, the real solution involves addressing the violence and economic problems that are driving these people to the US, but no one wants to address complicated solutions.
