So he had a month to collect himself and did not. As far as his family being in the room, as a judge he knew very well how heated such hearings can be, so allowing his family to be there was either stupid on his part or he was using them for optics to gain sympathy.
His wife should have been embarrassed by his behavior. It was behavior that I'm quite certain Judge Kavanaugh would never have tolerated from anyone appearing before him on the bench. But maybe she's a typical Conservative Stepford Wife and doesn't think for herself.
The endgame is that Trump and the GOP are desperate to get Kavanaugh onto the Supreme Court, since his belief is that a sitting POTUS cannot be indicted during a term of office: https://www.politico.com/blogs/under...ndicted-709641
They know what's coming down the Mueller pike and it is the only hope they have against impeachment.
It almost sounds like you are saying that one Justice can act unilaterally to prevent a President from being charged with a crime.
I don't think one Justice has that kind of power.
I also don't believe the Supreme Court has the power to stop or prevent Impeachment hearings and Senate Impeachment trials from happening, except that the Chief Justice shall preside over all Senate Impeachment trials.
I refer you to the United States Constitution, Article I, Section 3, last paragraph; and Article II, Section 2, Paragraph 1.
I'm certain anyone who spoke to him in his courtroom the way he spoke to the Senators questioning him would have found themselves in contempt of court very quickly.

He would absolutely have thrown anyone out of his courtroom--no matter the circumstances leading to their emotional outbursts--had they responded the way he did. And his arrogant and entitled disrespect of the Democratic Senators questioning him was revolting. The GOP put H. Clinton through several grueling hearings (none of which yielded anything criminal) and I never saw her ONCE treat anyone with anything but respect.
Of course Kavanaugh is upset, angry, and extremely frustrated. He has been falsely accused, his life long work is in peril, his family has been attacked and his future career has been jeopardized. Disgusting vile e-mails sent to his family calling his wife an f'ng B and worse.
And all of this because the dems are panicking over a conservative serving on the Supreme Court.
Any conservative that is nominated will be viciously attacked. All they want is to delay, delay and delay to hold off voting until after the midterms with the false sense of security that the left will control congress and then they can jump and down with glee with the prospect of impeaching President Trump.
I'd question Kavanaugh's mental state IF he didn't throw it right back at them.
I didn't attack you, I diagnosed you based on your 2+ years of Trump hating insanity. Don't be upset, it's manifestly provable that it is true.
You're welcome.
Yes, I tend to "hate" people who sexually assault women and steal pay from labor (contractors he stiffed) and hard-earned money from innocent consumers (his Trump "university") and lie and call people names on a daily basis--and are ignorant and stupid, in general, in the extreme. Go figure.
What excuses for delaying the USSC vote will Dems come up with next, after the 1-week FBI investigation they demanded is finished?
The likelihood of the Dems (or even Jeff Flake) saying, "OK, we're satisfied, now we'd be happy to go ahead with the vote" is somewhere between "No" and "Hell No", despite the Republicans doing exactly what they asked.
So what excuse will they trot out next?
Some possibilities:
1.) Trump restricted the FBI investigation.
2.) Now we discovered that a week wasn't enough, which we had never guessed before despite asking for exactly that.
3.) We have more women ready to accuse him of something or other, after weeks of coaching by Democrats.
Any other guesses? We'll probably find out which excuse(s) the Democrats conjure up starting on Friday Oct. 5, or sooner.
He lied. Period. As evidenced by his "direct testimony."
There are no "comrades" in the Democratic Party.
Well then I guess he will be sitting in a jail cell real soon. Heck, lets just jail him because an MSNBC reporter wrote an opinion piece.
I believe the Democratic Party in fact does. Reviewing the meaning of the word comrade I would say most fall in the 1. category and some in the "fellow socialist" category.
Comrade- noun
noun: comrade; plural noun: comrades
a companion who shares one's activities or is a fellow member of an organization
a fellow soldier or member of the armed services.
noun: comrade-in-arms

You just described the Party of Trump's platform. All those things are favorable attributes that every Conservative will try to live down to now. They're already well on their way to achieving that.
