Manchin, in the vernacular of West Virginia, is a yellow bellied coward. Did not announce how he will vote until after Collins did making his decision a moot point as there were already enough votes for confirmation with the Flake and Collins decisions.
I saw a reporter from some news show (no idea which one) talking to a protester saying we must believe the survivors, yada yada yada. The reporter asked how she felt about the presumption of innocence and if she felt the accusation had enough proof. The woman acknowledged that there wasn't that much proof, and there never will be, which is why we just need to believe survivors .
Then the reporter asked her how she'd feel if someone accused her husband of something like this without proof, and she said she'd be fine with it because, really, what could she say without coming off as a damn hypocrite. But I do wonder if this woman wouldn't willingly sacrifice her own husband's or son's due process for this kangaroo court justice.
It's disgusting what these protesters are saying.
"Women should be believed without question"
"Sexual assault victims should be believed no matter what"
"Believe all women"
Alyssa Milano said the other day that she didn't care if some men were falsely accused.
This whole guilty until proven innocent ideal is crazy.
That is frightening. Even more frightening is the violent protesting we're seeing now in this country.
It is my belief that the protests are much smaller than we are lead to believe.
