Nobody bets like that.

Republicans are known to lean on party members, and threaten them, and force them to toe the line.

Sorry to think - whether you believe Kavanaugh or not - that you consider that mocking a traumatised woman is admirable.

I do think Trumps's willingness to fight back in general has helped show the GOP that they won't die if they fight back.
I heard him and all he did was state the facts but as usual liberals get offended.

He is one of the most well respected judges on the DC circuit - as qualified as one can get.

The view of some left-wing law professor from UC-Bizzaroland is worthless.

When they bring out their fake charlatans, one after the next, that have no evidence against the people they accuse, thry really lose all credibility. Unfortunately this harms all victims, when they back the fakes.

Their desire to get rid of Trump at all cost will bring them down. Trump has done enough true crazy stuff that they could go after him for years, but instead they need to bring up fakes or embelish what he says. I guess they are stupid or blinded by hate to realize it destroys their own credibility.

As far as Trump and the "mocking", sometimes sarcasm and farce are what it takes to cut through all the smoke and mirrors and see the truth that is staring everyone in the face.

It WAS credible - until a senate hearing and a 7th FBI investigation made it look like a joke.

He "mocked" her testimony, not her. I know you want to shut people up and let baseless allegations go unanswered but itdidn't work.

Trump has fulfilled more campaign promises than any other presidential candidate in my lifetime. The promises he has not totally fulfilled, he's working feverishly on...like completing the wall.

His results have been superb. Lowest unemployment in 50 years! Hispanics and African-Americans are benefitting greatly in those employment statistics. Highest manufacturer confidence in 20 years. New NAFTA deal. Successful meeting with N. Korean leader. Successfully appointed 2 highly regarded Judges to SC. Making Europe pay for more of their own defense.

To date, he's had all of Washington DC working against him, but finally, in this Kavanaugh fight, he had a lot of help from his party. I'm thinking the Dems provided the impetus to pull Trump and Republicans closer together.

Ginsberg's 85 years old. If her spot is replaced by Trump, that will be a defining moment because the court will become undeniably Conservative. The Dems may have played the search and destroy card 1 supreme court nomination too soon.

Trump's winning big so far. The Dems are staggered and disjointed across the political spectrum. Dems cannot afford too many more losses, yet their party continues to surge left. That is strategic suicide because it pushes moderate Dems and Independents away. All the while the media sinks deep into the Sea of Credibility. Nobody watches the evening news or reads newspapers anymore. Hollywood's hemorrhaging cash and recognition. Several Dem states are nearing bankrupcy as wealthy taxpayers flee high taxes. Homeless tent cities in San Fran, LA, Seattle, and other Dem controlled cities are shaking the confidence of young Dems in those once proud cities (go to Seattle's city-data page and read for yourself). Chicago and Baltimore have become killing fields. Detroit reveals what the end looks like for other major Dem cities in peril.

The Republicans didn't fold this time because Trump has instilled confidence in them that they are winning now. If Trumps party continues to work with him, and invites more moderate Dems to join his populist movement, what we've seen so far could be just the beginning.

True. My feelings exactly. They have such a hard on to get Trump, and anything he does, they would believe any story.
