What does this have to do with being politically correct?

Post THAT video.
He was high on PVP and ignoring commands, he was slashing tires and reportedly attacking cars/people. Still that's no reason to shoot him 16 times when he hasn't made a single move to attack you.
It was a really bad shooting in my eyes. Murder, yes. Premeditated cold blooded murder, no. I'm glad he was found guilty, I hope he's punished properly, but we'll never know what drove him to shoot this man.

The video speaks for itself. The only surprise is that it took the jurors 7 hours to render a verdict.
Prosecution sought a First Degree Murder conviction.

Likely the jury debate was between first and second degree.

What reports about attacking people?

There was a woman who alleges encountering McDonald on her front step. He said he wanted to use her car. She said no. He laughed and wandered away. She called Police.

The victim was a POS, but that's still no reason to shoot someone 16 times while they are running away and continue shooting him while he's lifeless on the ground.

Also, the police coverup made the situation look much worse.

The video is horrendous. There is absolutely NO excuse for such a lethal level of response. What the coverup after the fact tells us is that even the Chicago PD knew it was murder.

The jury foreman has confirmed that the deliberation was between 1st and 2nd degree murder.

Acquittal was never on the table.

I thought he was convicted of second degree murder.
