GOD, I hope that Dems put their eggs in the Bloomberg basket!! PLEASE!!!

Forget the new leadership, liberals need to change their mentality and decide what is the focus for the democrat party. The Democrats fought on a losing platform for the last 10 years and counting. The reason the Democrats won the white house and the house back in the early 2000s because the GOP stayed complacent while the economy tanked under their leadership Obama was supposed to restore the middle class instead he completely turned his back on them by passing a healthcare bill that was ill conceived. Because of the Democrats we got a tax hike of over 20% because of insurance and medical related costs soaring year after year. That's how the GOP was able to take advantage of the Democrats' incompetence and tax and spending habits.

The new Democrats run on even weaker platform of playing identity politics and fighting for illegals and gays yet never addresses middle class issues and never mentions anything about fighting for income inequality issues. The middle class has been struggling for over 20 years now and the Democrats doesn't have a message for them.

I like the current Dem leadership. Finally they are upfront about who they really are...plus, they are endlessly entertaining!

If he has the money to win and he can get someone a lot younger as VP, I'd go for it.

Trouble is, the Dems have no agenda, it's a hodge podge. But the Repubs don't have an agenda either except to undo everything Obama did.

Now we have a chance to get it back, but only by virtue of 39 GOP retirements this cycle. The Kavanaugh debacle may have stolen even that lone ray of sunshine. And don't count on 39 retirements in 2020.

We lost the white house in 2016, and in turn lost on Merrick Garland. We stamp our feet and yell, while Republicans calmly collect their chips and cash them in, to wit the confirmation of Justice Gorsuch.

Our 'brilliant' strategy was blocking Kavanaugh via a 36-year-old sex allegation with ZERO evidence other than the accusation itself. Then we back that up with a bunch of screaming, hysterical, puerile protesters. This is America; lynch mobs don't fly, nor should they. 'Innocent until proven guilty' is in our DNA.

The handling of this by Feinstein & Co. may just have ensured continued GOP control of the US Senate, which assures further loss(es) in 2019 should Justice Thomas or Justice RBG resign. And if it's the latter, we will be looking at a 6-3 conservative majority on the Court. Great going Democrats!

If you add state legislative bodies, governorships, the US House, Senate, and White House, the GOP now controls about 67% of turf. Traditionally, we have sought solace through the courts; now the GOP control the SCOTUS too. Had we gone after Kavanaugh on ideological grounds, as we did with Bork, we would at least have had a chance. Unsupported sex allegations didn't work with Thomas. That should have been a clue for Feinstein!

It's time for Feinstein, Pelosi, and other members of leadership to retire to enjoy their 7 figure pensions. Make way for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and other young rising stars. It's just too bad that once-rising stars, namely Cory Booker and Kamala Harris, were dragged into the debacle, and perhaps irreparably damaged.
America desperately needs a replacement for this wholly-corrupt, socialist, racist party, and all of its leadership need to self-exile themselves to some backwater.

As a right leaning independent, there are Dems right now that would get a hard look at me if they were running for president.

Here's 4 Dems I'd condsider voting for, or at least should take a more central role in the Democratic party

1) Michael Bennett D-COL
2) John Hickenlooper D-COL
3) Christopher Coons D-DEL
and probably my favorite dem at the moment
4) Patty Murray D-WASH

We were wondering who the sole member of the Patty Murray Fan Club was. We knew you had to be out there somewhere. Thanks for checking in.

Patty Murray? Really? With some superhuman imagineering, I can almost understand some affinity for Michael Bennett, but Patty Murray? She's the Senator who thought that the reason Osama bin Ladin was popular in the Arab world was because of his efforts in building child care facilities, among many other things he never actually did.

Then again...maybe Patty Murray is just the leader the Democrats have been looking for.

The DLC, had it defeated the DNC instead of the reverse, would have led to far higher rates of success for the party the last 18 years.

Booker was never clean. Find a rising star with a rock solid past.
I would agree. As an Independent and former Dem, I would love to have two good candidates to choose from. As it stands right now I will not vote for any Democrat unless the Republican candidate is anti American or some one like Jeff Flake.
