Assaults against women is a real problem. Although as a conservative women I understand why women who have been assaulted or know we are easier targets are angry but I am against them trying to make BK pay for an assault they may have suffered at the hands of someone else. Otherwise they do have a legitimate point.

Making it worse listen to the rap music lyrics where they sing about disrespecting and treating women bad. There are assaults on women in movies, in pornography, even in games. Yet the left held up a stripper as a hero. If the left really wants to do something about assaults on women maybe they (and we) should protest the constant portrayal of it.

If you wonder why women are so mad, read about some of our thoughts and actions taken daily for our safety below. We always have to be aware where men don't typically think about it like we have to.

Of course, because the left’s main target is straight white men and if Christian women speak up against women’s sexual empowerment, then yeah this is theoretically why women can never speak up against sexual assault.

Women try to do everything we can to avoid becoming a victim but just as men become victims so do women. Many times men think we are being silly when we take precautions they don't consider doing but we have to be more aware and take precautions, it's our "first" line of defense which we all know can fail.

Yeah, my husband saw a friend's FB post that was in a similar vein as your image and thought it was over the top. He just didn't realize and hopefully got it a bit after I explained a little.

He could have thought it was over the top because he would never consider assaulting a women. Naive thinking true, but many men are naive to this problem because they have an innocent mindset, a good man that needs to understand that not all men are good. It happens everywhere, not at the other end of the country.

Also consider that sexual assault increased in the more ghetto of cities, yet dropped in more low-end areas...

Yes, he is. I dont take as many precautions as some (dont drink so dont have to worry about that, etc.) and should do more, but I still do the things like hold my keys so I can use them as a weapon if needed, etc.

Yup. I do all of those precautions and more.

In parking lots, if I feel somebody, not just a man, is coming too close, I place the shopping cart between us.

Or if I am walking on the sidewalk and a car noticeably slows down next to me, I walk perpendicular to the street in the opposite direction. I don't even wait to find out what that person has to say. It is usually a man.
