It is certainly much higher than 40% and many of them are females in their 20s who will likely have several decades of chronic disease.

While men tend to go quickly from health ailments, many of these women will have decades and decades of chronic disease that might contribute to bankrupting the country.

Not only that the female obesity epidemic means more shedding of virus for longer periods of time.

Thanks to President Trump though male obesity doesn't really seem to be increasing though with all the new construction and manufacturing jobs.

Men objectify thin, attractive women, so they should be less admired. Obese, "curvy" women should now be celebrated because they can't be objectified as much by Men. Men should now be punished for finding thin, good looking women attractive.

You seem quite misogynist to me.

WHAT?
The article indicates that obese elderly women are more at risk for death from influenza than other populations, due to a longer period of recovery from influenza.

Love how liberal, feminist media elites think that America should ignore it because people have a right to indulge. All that indulging, especially with young women is going to overwhelm the system about the same time the baby boomers are in their 70s and 80s

Obesity increases flu shedding time by 104% according to one study

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/30085119

This means that an obese nurse is spreading flu to her patients 104% more time than one of normal weight

Odd how in the pre-feminist era that obesity rates were 15% or so (likely mainly people of senior age) and now they are 40% plus percent for females, much higher than males.

https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/su6001a15.htm

Male obesity is likely going way down also with all the new transportation, warehousing, manufacturing, construction jobs thanks to President Trump.

What a ridiculous OP. So many head-scratching claims there, but the most ridiculous one is that President Trump has slowed obesity in men because of construction jobs. LOL!!

Some posts you just look at who the OP is and are automatically prepared to laugh. This is one of the OP's more ridiculous thread starts, which just means more laughs per line than usual.

Thanks for the chuckles, lovecrowds. You rarely disappoint.

Yep, 5.4 million in construction under Obama compared to 7.2 million under President Trump.

1.8 million more males burning thousands of calories more a day.

Then there are the millions more manufacturing and warehousing jobs that are overwhelmingly men.

The liberal media elites and feminists will just continue to ignore the massive percentage of obese females and the skyrocketing health care costs that are going to result because of it.

The health care system is absolutely overwhelmed now, can't imagine the fall-out in a decade when there are millions, millions and more millions of millennial females that have diabetes and kidney issues as opposed to what would they case if they had the same obesity rates as in the 1960s and 1970s

Fat shaming is a good thing. With a few exceptions, obese people deserve all the shame they get.

One of the best things about living in Colorado is the lack of blubbery obese people. I love going to Wash Park on the weekend and seeing the level of fitness of the people here. I love going to the trails and seeing 70 year-old hikers and mountain bikers. I love how crowded the gyms are.

Diet and exercise, people.
