So Saudi Arabia is just like every other country in the region except they have the most wealth. Trump probably sees them as the lessor of two evils (Iran) to have the most control in the region. Let them keep killing each other but I’d prefer we stay out of it, including canceling the arms deals. Let them kill each other with Russian or Chinese weapons

The Republican senators should be furious. They know it's OK for Trump to mislead his Trumpie followers, understandably ... but it is NOT OK to lie to themselves.
This could be the camel's nose under the tent. If the Pentagon and the State Department are willing to deliberately lie to the congress at the behest of the president, what else would they be willing to do to congress for him? How far would they go?
