On to the next outrage! Please! And just think — this was merely the out of town dress rehearsal for the show trial awaiting the judge who will replace Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Anybody have any man size kleenex hanging around. We're gonna need it.
NORC is at the University of Chicago - they give no idea how they set up their poll, who participated, but they do admit that they do these polls to support the Foundations that FUND them.
Sounds like they have a set panel they "poll".
Interesting the way they present their results . 64% believe Kavanuagh either Told the Truth or Mostly told the Truth ... that's NOT the Headline.

Only 25% of 1152 people think he was honest/75% of 1152 people think he lied. That's it. Unless we know how the sample size of 1152 people was determined, we cannot extrapolate that into any larger population. You will learn that in any statistics course.
All the sample data is available in the report from AP. An excerpt:
Quote:
Interviews were conducted online or by phone among members of NORC’s probability-based AmeriSpeak panel, which is designed to be representative of the U.S. population.
The margin of error is plus or minus 4 percentage points.
Read it and get back with us. That said, the polling questions were more nuanced than "did he lie". Most people thought he was less than completely honest to one degree or another. Is that lying?
Unless you are talking about Hillary of course. You all believe she is guilty despite no evidence or due process or rule of law.
actually there IS evidence that hillary lied, including an admission of guilt to some of the things she has done in the past, but you are ignoring that, like a lot of others. but since she has not been prosecuted in a court of law, i am forced to accept that there is not enough evidence to support a trial.
We still believe in due process, the rule of law, and standards of evidence.
Lol. How many times do I have to remind you posters it was a job interview, not a criminal trial, thus, there was no legal standard for "innocent until proven guilty?" But lofty sentiments about how you believe in the justice system make Kavanaugh supporters sound a lot better than saying, "I'm a conservative/Trump supporter, so I will trust a guy who lied about his drinking habits and connections to Yale at the very least." It's irrelevant now, no matter how much of a Kavanaugh fan a person is, Americans really should be able to tell the two apart by now.

Were he not being honest and it was proved as such, I would have been appalled at his confirmation.
But there are ... REQUIREMENTS.
And he met them and then some.
HOW can it be proved if people refuse to look?
Kavanaugh's college room-mate and others alleged he lied under oat to Congress and those allegations were never investigated by the 'see no evil' buffoons controlling the investigation.
