I thought it was interesting and the truth.

The Democrats have abandoned America's construction, warehouse, miners, farmers and ranchers in exchange for illegal aliens, welfare cheats, inner-city out of wedlock women who have large families from men who are parolees and drug dealers.

The Democrats certainly had more to offer platform wise a generation or two ago as opposed to what their disgraceful platform is today.

Odd how the very regions that voted for them a generation or two, don't want much to do with them anymore.

Correct.

The Democrats used to be the party of ordinary working people. Now they are a party of Big Business, just like the Republicans are.

The only difference between the two parties is which tribal group they use to get votes.

The Dems are still fighting for healthcare & fair wages...is the Republican party doing the same?

No.

So let's see ... the republicans are becoming the party of protectionism.

According to the OP they are also now becoming the party of unions.

Before you know it they'll then become the party of nationalized health care - after all if unions are good for working class folk, so is nationalized health care.

What will come after that? Since a higher minimum wage is also a working class thing, I've little doubt they'll start supporting that, too.

Next will come an anti-Wall Street bias. But of course, that's already happening in the alt-right wing of the republican party.

It won't be long before the republicans start looking like the democrats of, say, 1970-ish. Eventually they'll start campaigning for the rights of immigrants and single mothers, and so on, and so forth. After all those are also largely working class folk.

In some 20 or 30 years the cycle will be complete, and the republican party (who will undoubtedly still call themselves "conservatives") will look little different from the current democratic party.

Republicans hate blue collar workers. Democrats are right wing as well, but the republicans won't improve their lives.

You very well could be right.

The Democrats skewed ordinary Americans when they threw Bernie Sanders under the bus in favor of Hillary Clinton.

It’s a sad day when a New York City real estate shyster turned reality TV star becomes the more desirable candidate.

Maybe the Republican Party will become the Party of FDR and New Deal style policies, while the Democrats will become the Party of bankers and business elites (if they aren’t already).

Don't let the Democrats know. Act defensive, but don't let them know they are so sunk.
I want to get the full effect of instant devastation without warning. It makes for the most bang for the buck, with popcorn in hand.

You're taking advice from a union leader?

What's next--taking advice from Chairman Mao?

The Democrats that exist now don't really have a message. And they sure as hell don't have one for the midterms except for the "impeachment" of President Trump, inciting violence against Republicans, taking away our tax cuts, and encouraging illegal citizenship. They are apparently not interested in anyone's jobs.
