Since Republicans and Democrats typically cannot get along and always backlash each other, how about we abolish the two state federal government and let each state have their own “federal/state” government with their own president? Act like an independent country basically but still within the same nation.

How would it look like you think?

No, terrible idea. We'd end up with the same problems the EU is facing. A strong central government over the states is a good type of government.

Like the EU, and we can see how well that is working out.

Nice fantasy, but there is no way.

I'd be happy to split into two countries, but splitting up the states is going to be tough and the Left would end up with most of the good beaches.

It would look like one big nuked wasteland when Russia or China decided to go to war with us because we had no centralized line of defense.

So much for these "United" states...

This experiment was tried before and the Civil War put an end to that so no it is not a good idea to make each state their own country.

Well with the way California is going with their Liberal ideas and Sanctuary for illegal aliens we might be better off a a whole to annex them.

Sounds like Russian propaganda to put us on equal footing with the breakup of the USSR.
