How is this possible, our our government points a gun at us if we don't pay up and then they give that money out all over the world for nothing in return.... Nothing.

Are we as citizens just a stupid slush fund to rob?

I find it crazy, when our infrastructure needs a refit.

Yes we are. We agree on something? Sorry about that.

Here let us disagree. We are also used to pad the profits of big pharma by making it illegal for the US govt to negotiate drug prices and illegal for us to import from price controlled drugs from Canada, UK and Germany, even past patent ones. Thus we subsidize world drugs.

Trump brought that up in a recent speech.
And you know him, if he has a problem with it, we soon see action on it.

There is no law in relation to drugs with a patent and a patent generally lasts for 20 years, in order that pharma companies can cover costs and make a very handsome profit.

After this time drugs become what is known as generic and the drugs are subject to rules and regulations.

However what has been happening is the pharma companies have been debranding these drugs and relaunching them to get around regulations, they then put up the price by say 2,000% and the health service and consumer has no choice but to pay.

Around 90% of drugs in the US are generic, so it's a big problem and the US is not paying for other peoples drugs, as all countries stick to regulations regarding copyrights and patents, it's when this runs out that the problems arise and I cann only suggest that the US follows countries like the UK and stops pharma from debranding and other such fraudulent activities.

In the UK new legislation has been passed to stop companies from doing this and a number of companies have received massive fines.

Lots of countries give foreign aid to pooreer countries and the US is not unique in doing this, nor is it per capita the largest donor.

Let me know when you are ready to run for office.

Today, that means you are going to have to get a group together to back you, and begin making grassroots efforts in your community. And you are going to have to be able to navigate through the current incumbent friendly political environment.

The problem did not evolve overnight... neither is the solution going to be implemented overnight.

There is only one Donald Trump, who is smart enough and financial able to pull off being a total newcomer to politics and do what he did. And even with that - he just can't flip a switch and change everything since he is not a king.

Note by paying for other countries, I mean we subsidize pharma corps since congress is bought and paid for by pharma. In other countries, prices are regulated. Google "Billy Tauzin"

Thanks for the info.
