A serious question not meant to cause controversy

I think, as long as we have a hybrid system with tons and tons of regulations and a hodgepodge of rules and laws governing our system, we will continue to have what we have, no matter who is in control of government.

As a Republican, I would prefer a system, which is market based, which I think would deliver less expensive care and lead to innovation, but I do not think we will ever achieve that.

That said, I think the only chance we have is to go to Medicare For All. It must include not any government takeover of hospitals or the system, but only a payment and financing system and it must also protect our individual ability to purchase other care outside the system.

I think, ironically, President Trump is the only person who can deliver such a system and I believe he believes in this.

You can always go to an ER and receive care regardless of insurance. That’s Limbaugh’s philosophy.

NONE of the political ads in my area talk about healthcare without having to work.
