Democrats are divided on leadership but the more serious real divide is the one they create among the American people.

Socialism/communism isn't a founding principal of our constitutional republic. If the Dems can get that message across to their own members them they could reduce the divide between right and left in the country.

Democrats must restore their faith in a single and more moderate platform and unite behind a message that fights for equal opportunity for all.
( not equal outcomes produced by socialism/communism )

Centrist voters recognize those in the Republican Party are closer to mirroring their ideals, thus relegating the Democratic Party to its most extreme members.

The Democrats are the party of IDENTITY POLITICS which purpose is to divide, keep us at odds, and more easily controlled. While we are worrying about nonsense, and petty differences they are stealing the cookie jar.

They are also the party of "More Free Stuff".

Fascism is also not a founding principal of our constitutional republic.

Republicans must stop sowing divide between black and white and all ethnic groups along with rich vs poor and rural versus urban.

Not on the issue of supporting the founding principle of the constitutional republic. One centered on the individual as apposed to the group.
Classical group think is the foundation of democrat thought, policy and action.

https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/basics/groupthink
Groupthink occurs when a group makes irrational or problematic decisions in haste instead of thinking critically through the issue at hand.

Example : Nancy Pelosi, we need to pass it to see what's in it.

It could be the Democrats created identity politics but the Republicans have adopted the same tactic.

It is mind boggling to me that folks are so biased by their tribal instincts that they can't see the games for what they are.

I continue to hear how "Russia is sowing strife" but the only ones I see doing this are the MSM and a few political figures.

Both parties use the “ divide and conquer” approach to campaigning.

Trump enjoys the benefit of a majority. He does not need a single Democrat vote to pass anything. Yet, he blames Democrats for anything/ evertything that does not go his way. Same crap Republican pulled during the Obama years.

Both parties are challenged by extremists. Maybe that’s why most people choose not to identify as Republican or Democrat, anymore.
