The packages were irregularly shaped and the machines that put the cancellation marks on are not perfect when it comes to misshaped mail. This was all explained by the postal inspector at the press conference. No need to spin it into a conspiracy theory when it's not that uncommon.

So at least four of the packages went through without any marks? Is this an ongoing problem with USPS?

And there have been quite a few violent attackers who the media initially thought were politically Right. They made a lot of noise, right up to the point where it turned out the guy was on the Left politically. Then the story just goes away and nobody talks about it much. It seems that the vast majority of reported incidents where the Right was the attacker turned out to be completely made up. The Right does that too, so they don't get a pass for making up crap, but off the top of my head, I can think of a lot more confirmed acts of violence/destruction by the Left than the Right.

I'm willing to be wrong. My core point here is that the Left needs to do something about the violence coming from their side. Can you find me a list of all unprovoked acts of violence coming from the Right? Cases where the Right started the fight and/or destruction of property? I think the Left has been guilty of politically motivated violent/criminal activity many times more often than the Right. If I'm wrong in my assessment, I'm fine with that, but I'm pretty sure I'm not wrong.
Actually what we're learning now is they don't have to reign it in at all. Eventually someone from the right strikes back and then all the violence is blamed on them. The left can do what they want and we can't even call them out on it anymore.

Then you have the "kill all Jews!" guy this morning. He'll be tied to the right and now the right aren't just neo-nazi wannabes anymore, they're full fledged Jew killing nazis of old who must be stopped at all costs. Now go out and vote!

Get a grip, old man. You are painting with a broad brush and small mind.

It's only a problem if people keep sending bombs in the mail. You have never gotten a piece of mail without a post mark? Do you want the post office to start requiring all mail to be in neat boxes so they can get a clear post mark on them, no more stuffed envelopes to keep the weight down? Heck, even the machines at the recycling centers kick out cans as unreadable once in awhile they are all shaped exactly the same. Nothing is perfect.

You statement is incorrect. How would you know that things are happening on the left if the media didn't report it? Just so happens the pipe bomber is the latest, so he's getting all the attention.
