Ali Velshi on CNN talked about this yesterday morning viz a viz the poor job reports. Alot of people were speculating than manufacturing would pick up because of the weak dollar- so far this hasn't happened. I think the country's industrial base is really, really weak and the low dollar may not necessarily stimulate investment in manufacturing. There were no increases in traditional manufacturing jobs in the past couple of months, only decreases. Only Oregon viz a viz Boeing had any increase. Lousiana had increased manufacturing of houses but this is expected after a hurricane. The same is true for Nevada and Nebraska/Kansas- building construction and farm equipment.

There is alot of industral construction in Texas like 12 billion in my area alone. Unemployment is very low.I think some aeas are losing and some gaining just like most times and that is why overall unemployemnt is still historically low.
