Actually he had 5%, the same as Mitt Romney.

Today that has changed.
What do you have to lose, was the question of 2016.
2018 and we have gained tremendously, proving the last 8 years of Obama a complete disaster and the main reason we have Trump today.
Promises made
Promises kept.

I can't pretend to understand blacks' politics but something like this might be what triggers a tectonic shift, which I believe is the only kind of shift that's possible.

Blacks vote 90+% Democrat. They have their reasons and they're good ones. Republicans have no hope of chipping off 2 or 5 or 10% of this block. IMO, if change comes, it will come like an earthquake: from 90% Democrat to 9% Democrat in the blink of an eye.

Where the other 91% will go, and what will make it go there, no clue. But is will be something like Blexit: out of the blue and organic.

I agree with this lol.

I think it's funny that the Trumpsters think that black people in the GOP will fall in line with what you all believe if more join.

I'll note, I considered joining the GOP in the past but decided it would be better to just be an independent. Mostly because the GOP is clueless on issues pertaining to race and specifically to black Americans.

I also do know quite a few GOP black members of the party. A couple of elected officials as well. They are very aware of what racial discrimination is and are not one's to pretend it doesn't exist or is a thing of the past. As a result, those who aren't scaredy cats of sorts, are not well thought of in the GOP. In my local area, one of my uncles was courted by them to run for an office. He did and now they are always trying to get him to shut up lol. He doesn't like Trump - thinks Trump is a white supremacists! He's actually one of the "never Trump" guys, yet he's pretty conservative in other issues and always has been. He's butted heads with the local GOP over him being outspoken against Trump and any GOP candidate who is a staunch Trump supporter.

I actually would be interested to see a rise in the GOP of black Americans. We do have a habit of steering agendas/platforms to what we want. We'd do the same with the GOP just like we did in the past. Blacks primarily stopped voting for the GOP because the GOP abandoned issues of importance when it came to race.

FYI to you conservatives "race" is always a political issue for black Americans. I forsee you inviting more black people into your party and you then turning back to the Democrats for your political affiliation. I'd actually like to see Republicanism go back to its roots, which was heavily centered on civil and social rights of black Americans.

How is that rational?
Those that are taught to fish, rarely lose their pride and accomplishment, reverting back to the shame of having to be given a fish, stolen from those that can fish.

Yes, and to think, this was all inspired by Uganda.

I do hope someone ensures that Kanye take his meds or he'll be leading people over a cliff.

So would you mind posting your source? Nevermind--let me guess. Yes Rassmussen, right? The only poll that gives Trump and all GOP numbers higher than all the other pollsters.

In February he had 8%, so that is some increase--an amazing increase. The most it is up to is 12%--and you are wrong. He won about 7% in the election.

"...The Associated Press/NORC Center poll, conducted in February, asked a series of questions on racial issues and surveyed a larger proportion of black adults than most polls do. The poll found, unsurprisingly, that 92 percent of blacks disapprove of President Trump, compared with 7 percent who approve of him. A whopping 84 percent of blacks think Trump is a racist, compared with 10 percent who do not...."

Oh, there are some panicked white nationalists making disgusting racist robocalls all over Florida--jungle noises and all against Gillum. I'm sure those calls will really help Trump with the black vote.
