There's one thing that unites ALL Pubs:

Shoveling more of America's resources to the already wealthy and away from working families.

And pay for it by eliminating programs favorable to the public. They'll even cut defense to give their top 1% tax cuts that'll bust the budget.

“It’s disappointing, but it’s not a Republican problem,” McConnell told Bloomberg News on Oct. 16 when asked about the deficit announcement. “It’s a bipartisan problem: unwillingness to address the real drivers of the debt by doing anything to adjust those programs to the demographics of America in the future.”
He added that by “entitlement reform,” he was “talking about Medicare, Social Security and Medicaid.”

They have no higher priority.

So...make hay about raising the budget and military spending...then a year later lower the budget. This is worse then just leaving it alone.

And we ALL know, this is about the deficits that the tax cuts are causing. The tax cuts that benefited the rich, are going to cost our military at a time where China is becoming a military threat.

We don't need a bigger military budget - our military budget was recently estimated at 6X the combined budgets of the next 6 biggest countries.

What we need is more efficiency given the emphasis is no longer on a sustained multilateral war .

Wow, how many left wing talking points (aka lies) can we hit in 1 post? 1-the tax cuts have brought in record revenue-highest in history. Which has happened after virtually every time we have cut taxes. We don't have a revenue problem, we have a spending problem.

2-I didn't realize I was "rich". Under the Trump tax cut my rather modest income was bolstered by a 20+% cut in federal income tax.

Maybe they wouldn't be as much of a threat if hillary hadn't given them so many of our secrets, in the more than 30,000 emails that she'd given them.

When he stands up for himself and his supporters they call it being divisive. What nonsense !!!
Yep

Uh huh. Most of us are noticing very very small benefits from it, that are offset by increasing costs. And our 401K's are currently taking a beating.

Tax revenues went up 0.4%...which sounds good until you realize that that is smaller then almost every previous year since 1945 except for years in which revenues declined during recessions. Making your revenue claim something only the most gullible and foolish fall for.

And deficits went up massively.

This is why suddenly we're cutting 5% of most spending, including military. The tax cut has failed to have any revenue materialize like many claimed.

A Michigan State study found that DoD is spending more than the budget authorizations

https://msutoday.msu.edu/news/2017/m...nt-to-conduct/

Department of the Army may have overspent authorizations by 6.5 trillion dollars between 1998 and 2015.

Not having a viable candidate to run is better than not having a viable president in office like we do now.

Attacks anyone who points out the hypocrisy of it. You folks are amazing.
To them Trump is a God who can do no wrong.

Like Trump said he could shoot someone in the middle of Times Square and not lose any supporters.
If he told all his supporters to jump off a 50 story building they would probably do it.

The world has seen nothing like this since Jim Jones and the People's Temple. It is truly scary.

Good!!

This is exactly how it should work.

CUT taxes, CUT spending.

Trump is doing the correct thing in this case.

How about paying down the deficit and passing a balanced budget amendment. Republicans rant about smaller gov but are worse than Democrats when it comes to spending.
