This is nothing more than a publicity stunt to rile up the under educated masses. He doesn't have the power.
President Trump is head of the Executive Branch. He has the authority to do whatever is necessary to carry out the laws of the United States, either passed by Congress or codified in the Constitution. In fact, that's his main job.
Since the 14th amendment said that neither illegal aliens nor their babies are citizens ("... and under the jurisdiction thereof"), he has full authority to issue orders to carry out that mandate.
And that will remain true until and unless Congress enacts a new, different definition of "under the jurisdiction thereof".

You wouldn’t be waiting if you read the multiple responses on this point. The phrase “subject to the jurisdiction of” means “subject to the civil and criminal laws of the US and subject to the enforcement of those laws by the US judiciary.”
Clearly false as in Elk v. Wilkins, SCOTUS ruled Elk was NOT a 14th Amendment US citizen as he owed allegiance to his Tribe when he was born.

"Jurisdiction" is exclusively talked about in terms of whether the persons in question must abide by US laws and can be tried in US courts for civil and criminal offenses of those laws.
