Like all extremists, progressives would have done better toward preservation of laws that benefit them if they had been able to exercise a modicum of restraint and balance. Instead, the anchor baby law has been ridden hard and put away wet for decades. Now its going away, possibly for good. Its well past time.
It's really disingenuous to lay the blame for this on progressives. Russian women flock to the US to have their babies and many of them stay in Trump properties. Take off the blinders and look at this issue objectively. Republicans haven't done squat about this problem because it serves their interests, and their interests have nothing to do with your interests or mine.

Trump plans to sign executive order ending birthright citizenship: Axios

Best news I've heard in a long time!
You cannot change something in the Constitution with an executive order. Trump is an idiot.

If you want to change birthright citizenship, you will have to amend the Constitution. This requires voting on the amendment in each if the states. Good luck with that.

So the President and his supporters don't get to interpret the 14ths citizenship clause, just you do? The only change is illegal aliens are recognized and classified as intruders. Trump should issue the EO and let's see what happens.

It does not appear he has any real intent to issue such an EO. Such an EO would have a life of weeks.

The present rendering of birth right is that widely accepted by the governments and courts. The illegal alien parents are not the issue. The kid is and the kid is not illegal.

It doesn't look like Trump is going to issue the EO, but he better and we'll see. Yes the kid is a product of the parent's intrusion and intruders' children should not be granted citizenship.

We do need to make it known we demand Trump and republicans to end the open borders policies and loopholes.

What's the difference if an illegal alien drags their child here or pops it out afterwards? They're both illegal aliens with foreign citizenship regardless.
