Logic 101. Why would someone change a document that they believe should be used as was written - not interpreted mind you - to guide them in deciding whether a law, a practice, as in union or non-union members being required to fund speech; i.e., support of candidates or positions they do not support, for example? Why?

Try not to press the auto-snark, or deflection keys in your response.

In case you forgot, this is what you said.

You've just made an open acknowledgement of how politically corrupted you want the Supreme Court to be. This the highest court in our land and the one in which it is most important that unbiased decisions are made. What happens in the Supreme Court determines how well our country operates and serves the interests of us all. But yet you want it to squash the rights and the lives of all those in our largest political party. That is a short-sighted formula for disaster. How do you expect to be treated when your party is overthrown? How much consideration do you think you deserve, when the tables are turned?

Your side lost. Suggest that you move on. You'll get a chance to do it all over again when Trump nominates the next person to replace RBG

That's a very small minority of opinion. Most of the country, including the people who vote for the SC positions, felt that he was just fine and did well enough to get the job.

What Democrats did to this man and his family is despicable--there are not strong enough words to describe it really. What you call bad behavior is astounding, but not surprising. I won't even go into the lies from the accusers in this comment, which are far-reaching and numerous.

Justice K's family's lives were threatened, his children were mocked, the hate email they received no words can describe, and yet the OP thinks that is just okay. He has spent his life as an amazing jurist and giving back. He gave more documents to the Senate Committee than the last 5 nominees combined.

He was accused of speaking hate rhetoric when he was actually quoting what participants in the cases he was discussing said, but no retractions were printed or even corrections spoken by the media even though it was pointed out time and again - of course not.

The OP needs to remove this ridiculous thread, apologize to this forum and go one step further and send a written apology to Justice K and his family for the far left's actions. Justice K and his family should also receive written apologies from the Democrats on the Committee.

OP, you know you are on the wrong track when your most liberal Justice on the SCt says the partisan antics were wrong.

And then Susan Collins received hate mail and email because of her very wise and pointed discussion on the floor. She was 100% correct. And the OP knows it.

The Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee should be investigated and this thread is a perfect example of why no Democrat should be elected again until they stop this insanity.

Mediocre White Man Falls Apart and Is Promptly Put Back Together

Imagine she loses her temper several times during her opening statement, and refuses to answer yes or no questions. Imagine she evades follow-up questions by talking about how often she went to her friends’ houses and how good her grades were in high school and college...

A woman who conducted herself in that manner couldn’t get an assistant-manager job at Forever21, let alone on the Supreme Court.

They wouldnt even go after her unless she was right of center.
