UHC would inevitably be extended to illegals, as if we need another incentive for more caravans.

Let’s just eliminate profit. Go full blown socialist.

Nothing wrong with prosecuting fraud and theft.

It's more a matter of republicans owning profit-sucking insurance companies. As long as so many of them haul in such huge profits from health insurance companies and care-management organizations, they will do their best to politically block universal medical care in this country. Only when enough voters who are not on this gravy train, realize how they're being robbed and toss their politicians out of office, will we have good and reasonable benefits for all and start reducing our government's deficits.

Look at how "efficiently" government run agencies are. Now tell me if that's just fine by you if you are sick, injured, or have a life threatening disease. Good care costs money, that's the way it is. People have to be incentivized. We also have people mooching off our system and medical malpractice that gets factored into the cost. But I would much rather be able to pay more to the doctor and be healed than to pay more in taxes and have to wait in line for substandard care.

I’m curious what will happen to the 375 a pay period my employer “pays” for my insurance. Will I be getting that money now. I pay nothing now so will I now continue to pay nothing but pay even more to support others

Wife and father both had strokes. BCBS treated my wife much better than Medicare treated Dad. I’ll keep my for profit insurance the wife still has need of good insurance.

Dad no longer needs health insurance nor does he collect SS any more. He is dead. Sorry government bastards

Um.... everyone?

I have my doubts re if he even bothered to think that much about it.

I think he 'let his mouth write a bunch of checks that couldn't be cashed', so to speak. That he said what would generate the most cheering....never thinking that he would have to deliver re thinking he wouldn't win. I think he ran primarily to bother Obama a bit as payback for making fun of him at the 2011 WH Correspondent's Dinner, to build his brand, and to be able to whine that 'the system is rigged' until taking his last breath. In photographs from election night where he is looking at television screens and is seems to be going through his head that he was likely going to win, some might say that he had a 'deer in headlights' look on his face.

I know that. That's his quote after he took office and the Republicans had all but free reign to put forth their own health care, and couldn't.

We have TriCare and private insurance...... we won't use the TriCare, the Veteran's Hospital here is horrible. DH was injured while serving and it was hell.
