While I certainly am no sympathizer to the nazis I always find the history of the holocaust to be incomplete. For example, the “why” question has been removed from the discourse. It’s as if we’re led to believe that one day out of the blue Hitler decided that Jews must be exterminated and Germans decided to go along with this. This is the history, no more discussion is allowed.

But, “why”? Is there anything that Jews did in Germany at that time to cause such disdain? Are we really to believe that Jews had no culpability in the lead up to the holocaust? Hitler just picked these peaceful religious group out of a hat. And the soldiers and citizens went along with this because they were told (as opposed to having some repressed anger at this group)

To take this even further (if the repressive pc police will let us), it’s informative that Jews throughout their history have been expelled from every country that has hosted them.

“Why”?

Germany didn't have a 2nd amendment. We do. The left that you are so frightened of doesn't have the power or the numbers to change the constitution. Period.

The Nazis did a lot of bad things and taking away their enemies guns was just the beginning.

Do you really imagine an armed Jewish uprising to defeated Nazism before it rose to power was actually a possibility? You need to read about the History of Jews in Christian Europe.

Because the German propaganda machine convinced regular people, like you, that Jews were out to steal their jobs, babies, women and eventually their country unless they were dealt with. Seem familiar to the way the GOP characterizes Latin American immigrants/refugees? It does to me.

Yes. They were disproportionately prosperous. Hitler didn't think that was "fair" to the rest of German society, so blamed much of German society's ills on the prosperous Jews. Sound familiar? That's a very left-wing concept. The left-wing in the US feels exactly the same about prosperous Americans.

Just look at the German propaganda posters, etc., from the time. They portray the Jews as rich, greedy, slave drivers. That's a very common theme among the left-wing in the US: hating the rich because they're prosperous.

So why do we not abide by it? "The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

Jews were targeted and killed in large numbers in Germany, and all of Europe for centuries. Not because they were disproportionately prosperous but because they eat Christian babies and killed Jesus. Also for a time, because they lent money to the really rich and powerful people, and those really rich powerful Christians didn't want to pay it back.

Our governments on every level, through the court systems have successfully circumvented the U.S. Constitution with regards to the Second Amendment. If the 2A mattered to the courts, then no states, nor cities would be able to pass overly restrictive gun laws like many have. The Left doesn't have to change the Constitution. Guns were confiscated during Katrina. No laws were changed.

The Nazis used the government to make horrible things legal. Governments do it all the time, as many are NOT benevolent.

Look at the German propaganda posters for your answer. They portray the Jews as rich, greedy, slave drivers. That's a theme very common among the left-wing in the US: hating the rich because they're prosperous.

Hitler hated the Jews because, as a group, they tended to be disproportionately more prosperous than the rest of German society, and Hitler didn't think that was "fair." Sound familiar? That's a very left-wing concept. Remember Occupy Wall Street? That was motivated by the same kind of hatred of the prosperous as motivated Kristallnacht, in which Jews' businesses were vandalized and looted.

Hell, the left-wing in the US still loots and vandalizes businesses whenever they're throwing a politically-motivated temper tantrum. And those incidents have increased the past several years.
