One out of four.

1. Democrat

2. Republican

3. Republican

4. Republican, and probably the most conservative of the three Republicans on the list.

Considering that three of these people in my family, I'm pretty sure I do know their political views. We've been talking about them around the Thanksgiving table for years.

you all talk about them...OK. as I suspected.

We have one black man in our families. He married a distant cousin of my spouse. I've never met him and don't think I will meet him until the funeral of his MIL. I'm pretty sure his political affiliation or income won't come up in the conversation.

People's political leanings also are indicated by where they live.

A preppy white guy with a buzz cut and Brooks Brothers (or Brooks Brothers-type) clothes in NYC is often a Democrat, or expected to be a Democrat.

Why would you assume that they would not share honestly? I'm not sure what you mean when you say that you don't believe I know any Republicans. Why not? I lean left, but I'm an unaffiliated voter and lead, what to most people, is a very (small c) conservative lifestyle. I'm surrounded by Republicans!

More than their political leanings, I’m shocked that you know the salaries of your family members. Mine dont know how much I make, and I dont know how much they make. Maybe my family is weird, but in my family it’s just not something you talk about.

because you have said you moved to a majority black city, numerous times, specifically to live with black people.

Huh? I think you have me confused with someone else. I live in a very white, upper-middle class suburb of Denver.
