The AG serves at the pleasure of the president. The reason is that it was not to the pleasure of Donald Trump to have him stay on. Trump wants to give someone else a try.

It cannot be done through XO, I don't hear McGahn or any other legal mind in his administration claiming this is constitutional.

He obviously wants to be the next AG!

Graham's such a spineless weasel. He just spent all the goodwill he received during the Kavanaugh hearings.

The senate judiciary hearings for Sessions replacement should be fascinating.

It's not, and they know that, it was to rile the base before elections. You probably won't hear about it again, and if you do, and he does it, it will change nothing without involving SCOTUS and Congress.

Perhaps. But with 54 Republican Senators, they will be a formality.

Ding ding ding!

Jeff Session (whose politics I have NEVER liked) was fired for doing his job. And for doing exactly what a principled person does.

I actually feel bad for Sessions--the guy worked his whole life for this job and unfortunately is hired by a self-entitled a-hole who never had to work for anything.

Sessions did the right thing. Sessions did his job. Sessions did not obstruct justice, did not unethically provide cover for Trump. Sessions recused himself, which was totally the right thing to do.

Trump, sleazebag extraordinaire, mafioso wannabe, Mugabe wannabe, fires the AG because HE DID HIS JOB. This is unbelievable--we have a unethical scumbag for 'president.' Sorry--I just cannot see this guy as the real president. He's a thug running the country like its On the Waterfront.
