Trump was elected because he was anti-establishment...the anti-Hillary if you will...and he's built his entire presidency around it. The GOP went along with his ridiculous candidacy because he was the only one who tapped into the emotions sweeping red states at the time. In that way, Trump was very smart. He played his hand beautifully, but his outsider status has not parlayed well into the actual work of governing. I wrote this earlier, and I'll repeat it here: Trump does not govern, and he's accomplished nothing that GOP leadership has not had in the works for years. To Republicans on the hill, his only value is his signature, so they go along with his nonsense, twisting themselves into knots to pretend that he's not a one-man wrecking crew because to admit otherwise means they risk losing control of Congress and the future of the Supreme Court. Everybody else is getting played, including the President. Trump is a puppet, and he has two groups of supporters, those who really don't understand what's happening and weirdly see him as some sort of personal savior and those who are completely aware of what's happening but stand to benefit from his time in office. Deep down, Trump knows this, and his strong man act is his attempt to be his own person, but he doesn't have the skills or experience to play their game, so he stumbles along, retreating into a prison of his own making, filling the hours with phone calls to other pretenders who claim to like him but will also drop him like a hot potato when he ceases being useful. And all the while, the thing that really satisfies him, running The Trump Organization, sits tantalizingly out of reach because he let his insatiable ego get the best of him. It must be pure hell to be Donald Trump right now.
I took his statement as that he didn't know him very well. But of course, MSM and bitter never Trump folks will dissect and analyze every word that comes out of his mouth, twist it, to make it seems hes lying, Lol

Trump only knows you if you're an asset. He lies about you after you do his dirty work and kicks you to the curb when the corruption comes licking at his heels.
What boggles my mind is the constant look the other way mentality Trump supporters have for the corruption, and the inability to deal with the fact that Trump is head of a criminal enterprise. Do the convictions of his inner circle swirling around him mean nothing? Does Cohen's cooperation mean nothing? What about the cooperation of his long time financial gate keeper Weisselberg in exchange for immunity to cooperate with Mueller? What do you think is going to happen here?
Is it better to kill the messenger MSM, or is it better to have a free press so we know exactly what's going on?
Well that's a loaded question. If you're a Trump supporter of course you want the truth buried so Despot Don can carry on in any corrupt fashion he sees fit. If you're a patriot you support a free press and want to know what's going on. I say don't kill the messenger. Kill the corruption.

That is probably the saddest thing that has come to light over the last 3-4 years -- first: that the USA has so many clueless people that are enticed by Trump's shiny lies, and second: that our educational system has so totally failed in teaching basic civics and history. I'm sure there were people in Nazi Germany who were thinking the same thing -- but probably not saying it. At least we can resist and call these losers out and I'm glad that some are doing just that.
