I read an article and saw the video the other day of a teacher who had just returned to the classroom after having surgery for cancer and a student punched her in the face after arguing with her. I'm surprised more teachers don't snap when dealing with violent, disrespectful idiots who do nothing but challenge authority and disrupt the classroom.

I don't know why anybody would want to be a public teacher anymore. Completely not worth it

There was a time that teachers can discipline the student. Then we took that away and teachers were only allowed to send the child to the principal

Students stopped respecting the teacher and only the principal.

Then the principals weren't allowed to discipline the child... Only protect the school from liability.

The student stopped respecting the principal and thus the school.

Coaches for the most part still retained respect because the child had something to loose.
