Whatever side you go to, do you want your party, your side to rule in dominance now and forever? Like what we see is happening in California? If your side goes unchallenged nothing but good things from now on right? This question goes out to those on the left and right.
For instance in California Republicans are basically shut down, shut out for the seeable future, liberals in California should be rejoicing.

I think that in general, things run more smoothly when there's the potential for some gridlock. This way, both parties keep each other in check. So no, I don't think it would be good for either party to have full reign for any real length of time, at least as far as federal government goes.
The Republican head of the RNC in California says they need to distance themselves from the toxic Trump to survive.
I doubt that matters, Republicans are still dirty word in California think any Republican has a chance in California? But what about Republicans do you think your side would be good things from now on if a liberal or Democrat never got elected again where Republicans ruled like Democrats do in California?
BTW my personal answer is no , because two sides are needed to balance the other out even though I tend to go against liberals but the phrase "absolute power corrupts absolutely" comes to mind.

I'd prefer people in positions to rule have no party affiliation whose only interest is benefiting the country and its people. I believe the entrenched two-party system is a greater threat to the future of this country than any outside force.
i believe in smaller government and neither party is for that right now
