Library? Maybe 20 years ago.

But engineering anyway can definitely overload you with work resulting in late hours in the lab with little room for a social life or causes. Especially if maintaining a job at the same time.

Bingo. And I have to deal with and tolerate it every day.

It was more than simply a fist-waving feeling. The US was the economic leader in the world for a long time. Because your socialist history teacher never taught you that is not our fault. Deal with it. That's why so MANY people wanted to come here. And still do. Why do you think so many Mexicans want to jump the boarder? Because the US is a ****hole?

The library at the university my daughter, who's studying engineering, currently attends has a study annex that is heavily used by students, including STEM majors. I see them there all the time.

Why is the right now so occupied with tearing down exceptionalism under the guise of being against "elitism"? Yet at the same time touting American exceptionalism? Just want to tear down career experts, scientists, doctors, etc. While "loving the poorly educated"?

Eh so just a study room? Not really part of the library. We had those available in the engineering school itself.

The OP probably hunted and pecked for hours on his/her keyboard to type the nonsense out but couldn’t hit the “enter” button once? Of course.

The leftists and socialists INSURED the young heads full of mush seeking a higher education would only be given the liberal point of view whenever possible, starting in the 60's. So today we have high level schools that started out as bastions of Christianity who will shout down anything biblical in a nanosecond. Almost none that started out judeo-Christian have ended up that way they are secular and proud of it. So we see the fruits of their twisted dark views alive and well in the young and younger today. They listen to CNN and NPR and think they get the news. Patton, Eisenhower, and my uncle who was a flight engineer on a B-29 wouldn't recognize this place today. It makes me sick to see what is tolerated and encouraged by leftists today. Flag burning, open revolt, harassment of any conservative officials.....it will not end well. Those who though the USA wouldn't last and would eventually implode from within may be correct in the end..........what a sad thought..........
The only piece of wisdom I pulled from this is that you are upset that liberals are educated.

Did you go to college to learn about rocket science?
Yes?

And did you learn it?
Yes?

Ok..

Are you currently working in an industry that specializes in this field?

Yes?

OK, there, college still works.

I go to learn something, in a field I'm interested in working in. I don't care which way it leans in terms of politics. I'm just there to get a career. In my case, 3D animation.

Let me repair that broken sentence:

There. All better.
