Well, there you have it.

I'm sure it will all work out. No worries.

Conversations such as this are likely taking place in Parliament over lunch at this very moment.

So leavers are saying that voting against May's deal will mean a no-deal Brexit which would be preferable.

Remainers are saying that May's deal is "even worse" than staying in the EU and plan to vote against it.

Emails leaked from the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) are at odds with their public support, with terms like "damaging" and "bad deal."

Spanish PM accuses UK of treachery over Gibraltar Brexit deal and is threatening a veto.

What Gibraltar Brexit deal.

The EU has stated Gibraltar is an issue for the UK and Spain and nothing to do with the EU.

Gibralter already has a hard border with Spain and it's been very clear to the Spanish by the British and the people of Gibraltar than they will remain a British Overseas Territory with it's own elected Government.

Given Spains current treatment of the people of Cataloina who have been denied a vote on indepenence, the Spanish Basque seperatists as well as Spanish territories in Morroco and North Africa, the Spanish have some nerve.

The people of Gibraltar have been given a sovereignty referendum in the past, and voted by over 98% to stay British.

There is no way the British people will bow down to Spain's demands, indeed I would rather just leave under any circumstances than let the Spanish dictate to us.

As for the CBI they have publically support May's plans which include plans to negotiate a free trade deal, which would be good news for all concerned, however if everything is rejected and we go to WTO rules then so be it. We will just have to make new deals and increase trade with other nations across the world and given time this would make up for the dwindling exports we have with the EU.

How in the name of all things unholy did the word "just" sneak into that sentence?

Time is what the UK does not have. Because May, being an idiot, invoked Article 50 without a plan.

What, you think those guys want that responsibility? Laughable. They ran away as fast as they could, once they realized they weren't going to stuff the mushroom cloud back into the plutonium sphere.

That's exactly what happened.

They opened this can of worms and stepped away for others to do the hard work.

Why would they come back when they can stand on the sidelines and complain how May is not doing it right?

...

"Spain has threatened to block a Brexit agreement unless its demands on Gibraltar are accepted."

British authorities have agreed to granting Madrid prior approval on matters relating to Gibraltar.

Spain is waiting on a written statement before dropping their veto threat.

The plan was to turn back the clock to before the EU.

Just as team Trump's plan is to turn back the clock to those glorious days of yesteryear.

Neither has been particularly successful so far. But who knows what the future holds.

Yesteryear pre-dated the era of free trade agreements which the U.K. is now keen to do. The rest of the Commonwealth moved on when the U.K. moved closer to Europe.
