The issue is bigger than Acosta, bigger than press conferences. It involves the very structure of our government, and the checks and balances imposed by 3 CO-EQUAL branches of government.
The courts, however, on their own, and wholly without Constitutional mandate or authority, have taken it upon themselves to be a super-branch, over and above both the legislative, executive branches, as well as the work product (laws) passed by their combined efforts.
It MUST stop.
The administration MUST issue a Temporary Restraining Order quashing the Court's TRO. Simply, put, no court has subject-matter jurisdiction over this issue, nor the authority to trump the actions of another branch.
Quash the courts TRO and keep the troll out of the White House - forever.
Except for the fact that the court's ruling will ultimately be to the benefit of Trump in giving him the legal basis to maintain iron-clad control over press conferences, I'd like to see him defy the court and declare the judicial branch has no legal jurisdiction over how the executive branch conducts it's business on it's property.
It's a trap. If he goes back to his old ways, nobody would support him. Let's see if the courts rule that Trump must give him a question.
It would go back to the DC judge that has already stated in his ruling that Trump did not have to take questions from him. The only way the judge could rule otherwise now would be to say that he got it wrong the first time, and most judges would rather jump from the Golden Gate bridge than admit they were wrong.
No matter his personal thoughts about the President , respect the office. Plus he was hindering other journalists from doing their assignments.
You mean like Trump respected him when he called Acosta all sorts of names? Uh-huh ...
Secondly, he did not hinder anyone from doing their jobs. Other reporters in the room were able to ask questions during that press conference.

It's like saying no such thing. Try to follow along.

So ... wait. In one breath, you say 300+ million people have a right to be there, and in the next you say not just anyone can waltz into the White House.
Make up your mind.

The White House must apply its standards equally to all reporters, and follow protocol and due process.

Perhaps you're confused about the purpose of the courts, which is to provide checks and balances on the other two branches of the government. At times, that requires going "over and above" the other two branches. It's kinda been that way since ... 1801, I believe.

This kind of bullcrap is exactly what the courts are authorized to prevent - unfairly applying laws, rules and regulations.

You'd be quite wrong about that. The White House has had a dedicated press room since the late 19th century.
Per Wikipedia...
"The first presidential press conference was held on 15 March 1913 in the Oval Office, during the presidency of Woodrow Wilson. Subsequently, through to 1969, communications from the President and general press news conferences took place in various locations, including the Indian Treaty Room, the State Department auditorium, and the White House East Room.[1] In 1969, to accommodate the growing number of reporters assigned to the White House, President Richard Nixon had the indoor swimming pool, which had been installed by the March of Dimes for Franklin D. Roosevelt, covered and turned into press offices and a lounge that could double as a briefing room."
Sarah Sanders and the President should totally ignore Accosted and keep the camera off of him.
I'd like to see other reporters being able to ask questions. They used to do that early on in this administration, even having people on big screens from across the country. The non elite media asked far more relevant, substantive questions about real issues than the tabloid presstititutes and their gotcha nonsense and grandstanding.
Who gets to decide who gets a question answered? Anyone know? I wonder if it has to do with unions.

You would think CNN is the 4th Branch.
