True, but the hotel bill of $174,000 DOES NOT include said expenses. For the record, the advance team's total expense was only $18,000 and it's not included in the $174,000 hotel bill for Melania Trump. $174,000 is only the hotel bill for our First Lady and nothing else.
You may ask: Maybe Melania spend the night at the most expensive suite!! Well, the very top rated room in Ritz Carlton was $8,000. And for the record, Melania did not spend the night.
So how does it come out to $174,000??

Sometimes, something really just does not make any sense, regardless of who is in office. How does one incur almost two hundred thousand dollars in hotel charges that don't even include an overnight stay?

Here’s a hint. They do not meet in ballrooms or in a conference room next door to an Avon conference. They meet in Presidential Suites for what should be obvious reasons. As Mikala mentioned, it is likely they had to book the entire floor for security reasons.
She was there representing the US for the Invictus Games, just as Michelle Obama was in Orlando for the same event when she was FLOTUS.
I've been in hotel where the Prime Minister stayed in the same VIP floor I did. I was there for the conference, he was there overnight. The elevator was blocked when he traveled up or down, and he was surrounded by RCMP going down the hall; we had to stand aside if we happened to be there at the same time. All the rooms on that floor were actually two story suites, and all the same size, which allowed for in room meetings or hospitality. None of us actually got to meet him other than the entourage rushing him to his room, which obviously was guarded. I suspect all of us were investigated before he came in, as we had booked most of that floor some months in advance and were known to the hotel. The one thing that was noticeable was not only how organized (that was expected) everything was, but at the speed things were done.
