  1. Every SOH has been a member of the current House of Representatives even though there is no Constitutionally defined requirement. A lot of folks would be uncomfortable with breaking 242 years of tradition no matter who it's for.
  2. I don't think Barack Obama would take the job.
Of course he wouldn't. That might require him to actually work. It's a common opinion that he never liked politics or governing. He just liked running for office. Even Democrats said he was either difficult to work with or not engaged at all.

I haven't read all 8 pages, so perhaps this has been mentioned a time or three, but if not, here goes:
Has anybody considered the Succession Issue?
If AOC should, by some weird quirk of fate, be elected Speaker, then trump were to be impeached by the house, tried and convicted by the Senate, and the same thing happened to Pence, AOC would become President. BUT, the President must be 35 years of age, minimum, according to the Constitution. Therefore, AOC could not serve. Since the Speaker of the House must meet the qualifications stated in the Constitution to be President, AOC could not be Speaker!
More Fake News!

As if your first post wasn't funny enough. I'm sure Alexandria will whip China and India right into shape, LOL. And give us all free electric cars and solar panels and convert commercial buildings to 100% wind turbine power.

Really? Could you post some specific examples?

A "common opinion" among who? Can you please post some who have stated or hold that opinion?

Which Democrats said was difficult to work with or not engaged? Can you please post some sources?

Because I think you are massively incorrect.

If you like, we could compare Obama's hours out of the WH golfing or vacationing with Trump's. What do you think?

I think you are simply taking honest authentic criticism of Trump and turning it into some fantasy deflection. I never heard any of the sentiments you are expressing about Obama. Never. So please, sources?

And free health care for the planet. Don't forget that.

Because, like we'll just steal all the rich people's money. They don't need it. So we just take it, like eleventy trlliion-y dollars and like, um, do anything with it. They are like bigots and racists and stuff and don't deserve the money.

/facepalm/

You have to choose, either massive inequality or democracy. When inequality gets out of hand, the billionaire class will easily buy elections. They own the media, the courts and the politicians. Why choose oligarchy instead of democracy?
