Being falsely accused of racism publicly is a big deal. She’s young and could be working her way through school and being a career Chipotle manager likely wasn’t her life plan.
How would you feel if a woman publicly accused you of sexual assault and your employer fired you?

I saw this story on Facebook. Manager was right. They dug up the Twitter account of one of the black teens in the group on the video and he had previously posted bragging about their “dine and dash” at a Chipotle. So apparently they had done this before, and that is the reason the manager was forcing them to pay before ordering; not because they were black. It’s a shame she got fired. You would think that, that is the kind of manager you would want overseeing your store.
Getting someone fired by playing the race card or recording a one-sided out of context video = black privilege.
I hope the fired chipotle manager sues the hell out of chipotle.
This reminds me of "clock boy" who brought what looked like a suitcase bomb to school. The media was all over it insulting the school and Silicon Valley gave him all kinds of free gifts... Until they found out clock boy was simply plagiarizing the innards of a wal-mart clock and wanted to sue the school.
That's awful. It sounds like they took advantage of the store's previous kindness. I can't stand people like that...especially lying about it and costing that woman her job.
From what was described online, it was a group of maybe 5 guys running the same scam at various locations. Essentially, each of the 5 guys would make an order and they would each ask for their food once it had been prepared, making the claim that the last guy in the group was paying for all of the food. When the last guy got up to the checkout to pay, he either didn't have any money or had a card that would be declined. So, the other 4 in the group already had their food in hand and Chipotle had no money to show for it.
