Let's say the reporting of false hate crimes went up, that does not negate the increase in authentic reports of hate crimes. It sounds like you think the FBI is 'fake' but find a random website authentic.

Because the site depends on the media, this data cannot be said to show the actual velocity of hate crime hoaxes, and definitely not the ratio of fake to real hate crimes.
