Naw. This guy was "out there ". Ran on a third party ticket. Also recently ran for Gov of Vermont.

I don't know then. I'll have to google it but I won't post it until someone guesses. BTW Berg was a catcher, not a pitcher.

The guy had two different nicknames. Some called him Hollywood and some called him Spaceman.

Mo Berg was an intellectual who did spying/intelligence work for the US during WWII.

Yes I know that; that's why I figured he may have become involved in politics. But anyway, he was a catcher, not a pitcher. And it's 'Moe' Berg. (that was my mistake).
