That's not one of the rules.

Agreed. The only thing that makes the briefings worth watching is the hope that it will turn into an SNL skit, and it did come somewhat close with the Acosta-Trump contretemps. Oh, how I would love it if Melissa McCarthy (as Sean Spicer) and her lectern on wheels could become a real thing. I still think that was one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

Well, if he was asking questions, yeah. But he's not. He's provoking a debate, mic hogging, and purposefully trying to provoke a negative response.

Yep, and the President walks into it every single time.

He didn't kick EVERYONE out. Just Acosta. Acosta is just showboating and CNN has lots of other reporters they could put in. Press conferences aren't constitutional rights. Acosta can still report whatever he wants from outside the press room.

Okay microphone has not been passed, that ends today's presser. Have a nice day."
Walk away.

Dont like Trump but he is making this way too complicated.

If that was the case, no reporters would be there. Acosta was not asking questions. He was picking a fight and now he's crying cause he got hit back.

Based on the reporters conduct today it seems the new rules had them on better behavior.

They were still able to inject their bias into the questions but made no attempt to grandstand. No one was passing a mic around and that may be what triggers Acosta into a more extreme form of lunacy.

One seasoned reporter tried to get SHS to violate the Hatch Act but Sarah was to sharp to fall into that trap. From the look on the reporters face the reporter was to ignorant to know it would be a violation of the Hatch Act for Sarah to answer the question. Sarah did say the President could answer the question and is free from the Hatch Act to do so.
