Or do the rich and powerful deserve to get off scot-free, because they worked hard to earn what they have?

Drop the hammer on them. The same goes for corrupt politicians, cops and civil service employees. No country clubs for them, take them right to the big house, no segregation either.

If the rich employ illegal aliens they belong in Leavenworth. I year for each illegal hired. The border crisis would be over.

Not sure what you are getting at here. White collar crimes are prosecuted all of time. There is guy in the news that you may have heard of named Paul Manafort, for example.

Are you claiming that some people believe that they should not be prosecuted? Can you name someone who has advocated this position? Or is this just some leftist nonsense?

I am guessing leftist nonsense. CNN has you stirred up with a story about a white accountant who juggled numbers who didn't get the same sentence as black guy who who robbed someone at gunpoint? That kind of thing?

Of course it should be prosecuted to the fullest.

I also don't like the way people like Jordan Belfort have been presented as almost hero chrachters by Hollywood when in faxct they are just boiler room fraudsters, who should have been stopped long befre they were.

There was nthing clever about what Belfort did, indeed it was a well known fraud, and authorities had been shutting down boiler room frauds for many decades before Belfort came on the scene, and the same is true of Ponzi schemes.

Although the way Belfort writes and talks about his exploits you would think he was some kind of financial genius or mastermind. The only question that I was left asking after watching 'The Wolf of Wall Street' was why the FBI didn't close down Belfort and his operation much earlier than they did, as he was just a cheap boiler room hustler.
