Accent? Spanish is an "accent"?

And how do you figure the bolded? Are you confusing Puerto Rico with Haiti, perhaps?

Are you talking about some sociopolitical concept of "brown" for people who don't actually have brown skin?
The Leftist like to call all Spanish speaking people Brown, even if their White

I think it's time, based on principles, despite a likely increase in smuggling and refugees in PR.

The majority of (voting) Puerto Ricans support statehood, and at 3 million population it's larger than 21 states.

Let them prove that they can prosper financially on their own, and not become a ward of the state.

In 2016, Puerto Rico's GDP was $106 billion.
In 2016, West Virginia's GDP was $73 billion.

That's a very fair question.

It could become a policy testing ground?

Though I don't know if it needs to be a state for that.

With almost twice the population PR should have a GDP of Twice that of WV. They also only have a 60% hs graduation rate compared to WV at 81%.

It is the honorable thing to do. No taxation without full representation

Right so let's cut them loose. Let them be their own sovereign nation. It would be the best thing to do for our nation, and they would have complete freedom from the USA.

Yes. This begs the question of what the US has been doing for the last 120 years. What is the long term vision? Is it a case of 19th century colonialism which had been allowed to drift into the 21st century. Now the costs may be higher than any income, do we just say " We divorce thee". I think that with the length of time involved there should be a reasonable explanation of statehood. If not the divorce settlement and alimony should be huge.
