What we have now is the scientists saying they "believe, with a high level of confidence" that humans are contributing to climate change.
TRANSLATION: They can't prove it either. Even after 50+ years of trying, No one has been able to prove it. And we don't dare speculate on how likely it is that the whole premise is false. There would go our entire Government research budget. So... HEY! WE BELIEVE! AND THAT'S ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW! And we also won't talk about how many scientists DON'T believe it.
Well, what can you do.. Republicans avoid science like its poison.

If you can guarantee 100% that Earth won't naturally warm another 7.8°F to 15.3°F then do it.
Intelligent people who aren't blinded by a small group of "scientists" whose sole purpose in life is to prove man-made global warming want to know why this Inter-Glacial Period is colder than all the others.

Global warming is only about CO2 emissions....global warming does not care how much money a country makes..or it's population...only how much CO2 that country puts in the air
China has increased their emissions so much, it no longer matters what we do.....just 12 years ago, China had the same emissions as the USA...in just 12 years, China now emits twice as much CO2 as the USA
...and if anyone is stupid enough to believe...with all the corruption in China...that China could come even close to estimating what their real CO2 emissions are
No other country has reduced their CO2 emissions as much as the USA...that's a fact
USA emissions are back to 1991 levels....CO2 was ~350 in 1991....left up to the USA CO2 levels would be back at 1991 levels.....a drop of 50ppm....back to 350ppm
It's no longer a USA problem....the USA has done more than any other country...signing some stupid agreement.....when it's all the other countries that have done nothing

Well there is a good reason why the US was able to reduce green house gas emissions considerably, we have been the number one abuser for a century so I would hope we could improve.
So the one atmosphere we have is not a problem for the wealthiest country in the world, that's very reassuring. We could have easily done some improvements that Trump has rolled back, but here we are attempting to rationalize funding for failing coal power plants. I guess we have to just get used to sea level rise and increased temperatures, its no longer our problem.
He was wrong in that the USA isn't the only one with reduced emissions but most of the G20 have increased emissions. The real point here is that these other leaders like to grandstand and make wonderful pledges to garner praise and admiration but don't much doing the actual work. The other point is that you don't have to be a member of a treaty or make pledges to the world to clean up your own mess. Just do it.
