Now, answer the question.

A very quick search does wonders:

Threats to livestock have intensified in recent years, pitting ranchers against conservationists and prompting some states to permit limited wolf hunting again at certain times.

How is the hunter supposed to know this is a prized wolf? just anti-gun nuts going for outrage over some hunter who can't possibly know one wolf from another.

Perhaps we should trap and tranquilize all the wolves in Yellowstone so that we can mark them somehow, that way hunters know not to shoot the special ones. Oh wait, that'll take tons of cash, time and the idiots will just be triggered by something else.

Wolf hunting is considered trophy hunting so personalizing it generates attention and outrage. But the state issues the licenses because they need to control the wolf population. So someone's gonna do it.

There is no reason wildlife needs to be "managed". No good reason, that is.

The world managed itself quite well before we were here.
