Agreed, when a prosecutor has to go the 'lying to investigators' route, it means they don't have real evidence of a real crime. It was true for Martha Stewart and Scooter Libby, and it is true for Michael Flynn.

What always kills me is that the FBI has a long and storied history of dishonesty. Just take the Richard Jewell case as one example. They should be the LAST to point fingers over dishonesty.

There is more than just lying , maybe you have first hand knowledge of the investigation. The Russians and Flynn were indicted for more than lying.

I did not mention anything about the Russians. If Flynn was indicted for 'more than lying,' evidently they could not prove whatever it was. He pled guilty to lying to the FBI, and nothing else. He likely could have fought even that, but he was financially ruined, and Mueller had threatened to go after his kid.

That charge could have been the result of a plea, so no- no one knows precisely what law(s) Flynn may have broken.
