a.) There is no “liberal media;” all mainstream media is corporate/state media.
b.) McCain and Romney were and are on the left, as are 99% of Republicans--including Trump.
c.) The corporate/state media (especially Fox News) marginalized and smeared Ron Paul, one of a handful of Republicans since Goldwater who wasn't a leftist.
Talk about "derangement syndrome"...
And today, conservatives would consider Goldwater a RINO.
In contrast to Trump, he was a much more dignified human who treated the office with a much greater level of decorum and respect. If he comes off this way in contrast to Trump, then look in the mirror and blame yourself for having low standards; not the rest of the world for noticing it.
Or make up crap to fulfill their own narrative like they have when it comes to Trump so many times.

EVERYTHING is political to the left.....shootings, caravans and now a state funeral. Bush 41 is now exalted as a gentryfied SAINT (in contrast to Trump in their eyes). The end game of all these events is the overthrow of Trump. This same media had no problem hating 41 back in the day.......hypocrisy at its best......

What's deranged about it? Trump and 99% of GOPers are leftists.
Except for his foreign policy, Goldwater was Old Right, meaning an actual Republican. The last true Republican Senator, including foreign policy, was Robert Taft.
So if the so-called liberal media were to put little to no attention to Bush's death/funeral, you would all be crying that it is proof that liberals are against the right by ignoring the death of a Republican president.
Pretty much what you are saying is that either way liberals lose.
