LOL. uhmmm...no. Paris gets protests like this regularly. Their people are far more politically active and involved then we are. Paris isnt burning up, they're just having their usual protests. 3 dead and 300 wounded. out of 2.2 million folks that live in Paris. Thats a tiny insignificant number of folks in comparison to the population. Hardy "they are burning up paris" nonsense.

Um, Waldo...

The protests are typically French.

They are protesting against themselves being taxed, but they want the wealthy and corporations being taxed more so they can maintain their welfare state.

Well because the root cause of the protest is about being able to afford a tax on gas. Rich people arent as worried about it. Even middle income folks dont get all that upset about it. Its those at the lower end that do.

Dear. That's how it's supposed to work. Make something so uncomfortable, that behavior changes. It's the dream of Democrat Socialists.

And thats how LIFE works. Capitalism is all about this, along with hidden costs, and costs born by others.

Some people don't have that luxury and there are plenty of poor people in the Paris countryside. With NO mass transit available.

I'm in total agreement that we don't punish the everyday worker when the vast majority of pollution is caused by corporations.

Perhaps you haven't been paying attention but Parisians don't take no crap. They will get out there and protest at the drop of a hat.
