And ouch, Cohen goes under the bus. A modest reduction, but they want him to serve serious time. While he assisted, he refused to go all in and be a cooperating witness. Cohens probably going to get 3-4 years if I had to guess. Looks like trying to sit on the fence and play both sides gets some credit, but you're either all in or out with Muellers team.
Trump is probably doing a dance of joy. It doesn't appear that Cohen gave up all that much at first glance.
Edit: on second skim, I see this is just the SDNY filing. Apparently he didn't give up that much to the SDNY, but "this Office [the SDNY] understands that the information provided by Cohen to the SCO was ultimately credible and useful to its ongoing investigation." So there will be more to come in the Mueller filing I suppose...

No one likes a rat. It's one of those acts that people will take you up on if it's to their benefit and then wipe their hands clean. What Cohen did is so slimy, it's something he will never live down. Hopefully, his wealth is confiscated and when he gets out of prison, he has no friends to make him wealthy again.
Stuffs about to drop rapidly today. I'm looking forward to Manaforts. Manafort is without a doubt one of the worst human beings on the planet. Certainly in the top .001% of bad people. Cohen barely cracks the top 1%
So brief takings from this - Cohen is being busted on tax fraud, false statements as well as the potentially illegal campaign contribution.
He also seems to not have provided any useful information to prosecutors
That's the Southern District of NY's opinion, yes. Mueller's memo is somewhat at odds with the SDNY's memo - which makes sense as they are dealing with different charges/investigations.
