Exactly. The only time this could even be perceived to be acceptable (and it's never acceptable) is if you own the restaurant. Some employees do incredible things for employers who'd cut them in a second and not think twice about it. Idiots.

Damn..he was just an employee, not even the owner. If he dies, the shooter could go away for a very long time for $4-$5.

What a loser. Was losing the fight so he went back in the store, got his gun, and not only shot the customer but also shot another employee. Hope he goes to jail for a long time. People like him don't deserve to own a gun.

For those who didn't read the article. Guy paid for the meal but it turned out his credit card was invalid.

Depends upon what happened in that parking lot. If the employee was attacked by the bill skipper, he has a right to defend himself.

You can’t walk back in the store get a gun and then shoot the guy you were fighting.

That is the bottom line. People can lose control and, in a heated moment, do something that they will regret the rest of their life. I wonder how many people, who normally would be sane and in control, have lost it and reacted by pulling a gun and using it.

That restaurant employee went way overboard, and his anger will cost him dearly. Never worth it for a simple act of theft, regardless of the amount.
