I told both my Grandchildren that if a religion wants to charge you money for the word of God, then it's not a real religion.
The word of God should never cost money and nobody should make money off the word of God. They are not their words to sell. They are God's words to give.

I agree yet I have to wonder what a pool boy could bring to the table for a "business relationship."

The article says the Falwells had a "friendly relationship" with the attendant. A pretty vague term, but it certainly isn't specifically sexual.

I detested Falwell, Sr., and I feel the same way about his son, but that's a hell of a stretch.

Actually, unless I missed it, I don't believe the article specifically used the term blackmail, either.

Aren't the facts as they are stated enough -- why embellish, make things up, add to the story.

Exactly. Aside from the threesome and the blackmailing part though....

Actually this is pretty bad in that we jump on the right wingers who post false and misleading things abut articles they link to and hope we'll never read. We should do the same thing now. It almost feels like something like this needs a moderators action of some sort.

Thank you. Anyone claiming the "high road" better be damn sure he or she is actually walking on it. For one thing, it's only right, and for another, to do otherwise is fatal to one's credibility.

Credibility doesn't matter when blind faith overcomes it.
