This is the sum being wasted on one single wedding there. This in a country where 270 million live at below the national poverty line set at $14/month income.

Hollywood is in attendance along with Hillary Clinton who brought Anthony Weiner's wife. Hypocrisy at it's finest.

The $100MILLION wedding! India's richest man decorates his 27-STOREY home for his daughter's nuptials after days of lavish five-star welcome events and a private Beyoncé concert (as fans joke they will need to resurrect John Lennon to outdo her)

Surely you don't think that a private citizen in India has the responsibility to pay anything at all toward the starving people around him. This seems like a republican wet dream.

“Trump has spent 123 days golfing, or 1/5 of his term, at a cost to taxpayers of $72,181,957 — and still hasn’t visited troops in a war zone.”
— VoteVets, in a tweet, July 23, 2018

That figure might be off. But you get the idea.

Did YOU serve 15,300 meals to orphans, homeless, and disabled people multiple times daily this year?

Ultimately an ostentatious waste but much of that 100million is going back to the people. People have to work setting it up, tearing it down, catering, etc. All those guests rolled into town, spending money as well.

India spends $50 Billion a year on Defence which is more than Germany spends (US$44 Billion), and has a space program as well as nuclear weapons and is investing in high speed rail, the first line from Mumbai to Ahmedabad has already started construction at a cost US$15 Billion, and this is the first of five new high speed rail lines.

So you advocate for socialism, now?

He employes tens of thousands of people in India, including a staff of 600 to maintain his residence. Why would you care how much he spends in his local economy for his daughter’s wedding?

Why would you care who was invited?

( I got married at City Hall during lunch. I don’t understand big spends for weddings or funerals. What others do is none of my business)
