Was reading something pretty scary today. Somebody on another political forum was saying that Trump is just "testing the waters" with his lies about a border crisis in order to declare an emergency.
The theory was that, if Trump's "emergency" somehow makes it through the courts, it will set the stage for him in 2020 to, if he loses, declare an emergency, citing that there has been election interference, and say he will stay in power until investigations are concluded.
The person who said this also talked about how the Trump Administration, just last week, gutted two special task forces that were created specifically to fight against foreign interference in our elections.
How frightening is that? Trump is so desperately wants to be president for life like his dictator buddies, he's already laying the groundwork to lie about the electionresults e and declare himself POTUS even if he loses 2020.
Trump’s WH and the GOP in Congress have done things to make tightening security in forthcoming elections much more difficult—
Just a reminder that when Trump was running against HRC and the polls and commentators were all saying that it would be a landslide for HRC that TRUMP is the one who was claiming he would contest any election return where he lost—
He was willing to pull a 3rd-world type of election crisis by calling into question the results of what 90% of people thought would be a valid election—
I had read stories about the Russian slant to the GOP actions—the change in the party plank, the possible leaking by WikiLeak due to Russian involvement, the Trump server talking to Alpha Bank, the selection of Manafort as campaign chairman, Trump’s history laundering money for Russians—there were plenty if you were interested in that aspect of Trump’s campaign so it didn’t surprise me at what Trump and his cabal did before or after the election with its Russian involvement...
But don’t think this is the first time Trump has considered calling into question the legitimacy of ANY election—he has done in regarding other elections on state level or Congressional when a GOP candidate didn’t win...
Do I think Trump would like to be dictator for life—sure because then Nancy Pelosi wouldn’t be a thorn in his side...
There has been such a flurry lately that it is easy to overlook that Flynn is likely the go-to guy.
Reportedly, Flynn has offered "substantial assistance" and his sentencing was delayed so he could offer even more.
I suspect that his testimony is being matched up to that of others. Trying to figure out why is lying and who is telling the truth must be a challenge.
Hope he is in protective custody.
And considering that Flynn made his deal to protect his dumb son from being indicted for his violations of various laws I hope someone is protecting Flynn’s family as well—
Flynn is kind of the forgotten man in this but his foreign involvement and his personal knowledge of people like Erik Prince’s actions and VP Pence’s involvement in campaign and post campaign actions could bring down people that really have not been in the spotlight yet...

Only a dictatorial president who feels he’s above the law would keep attacking the Special Counsel investigating his case. An innocent person would want full due process and welcome an investigation to clear his name.
